CCSCS Health & Safety training course

Awarding Body:
CITB Construction Skills
Length of course:
1 Day
Cost:
£95 per person for a course for up to 20 people (must be block booked – there are no courses running for individuals at the moment)
Maximum number of candidates:
20 (minimum number of candidates: 10)
Courses are run on demand

We can take the hassle out of your organisations CSCS requirements. We will host a one-day training course in CSCS taking your candidates through the necessary knowledge to try and help them pass CSCS first time. At the end of the day we will assess all students to make sure that they have learnt enough to pass their CSCS test, we will then book the students in for their test, and once they’ve passed we will organise their cards for them.

Retests will be charged at the flat fee of £17.50.

The General Construction Operative card does not require evidence of any qualifications, if you require any trade specific CSCS cards, or higher level cards then possession of relevant NVQ certificates will be required. We will talk you through this when arranging your CSCS tests.

Where an awareness/training session is not required the following training solution is also available, the cost of this solution is £57.00 per person, including VAT and all charges for the test, card, revision materials, and admin fee. (This price does not include any retests that may be required, retests will charged at a flat rate of £17.50 each).

Where the minimum of 10 candidates cannot be sourced, or cannot be relieved from other duties we can offer an alternative solution where we will provide all of the candidates with revision material and give candidates an appropriate period of time to revise in preparation for the test.

We will book all of the tests for your candidates, organising times, and dates at a test location most suitable for you and your candidates.

Once the tests have been completed we will then organise the application forms for all of the candidates and endorse the application. All it will take is a signature from each of the candidates and a passport sized photograph.

Length of course: Half day

This course is designed for construction organisations that deal with demolition or renovation of older buildings or premises where asbestos may be present. Asbestos poses a great danger to the long-term health of people working within the construction industry, especially those working on refurbishment and demolition projects.

This course is designed to make construction workers aware of the long term risks associated with asbestos, and raise awareness of the symptoms of asbestos related diseases. During the course delegates will receive instruction in how to identify asbestos, what the asbestos looks like, and where it is most likely to be found.

After dealing with identification, delegates will receive instruction in the best practices of dealing with asbestos and what they should do when they find any asbestos while carrying out their duties.

The majority of work with asbestos now requires a licence which is only available through very strict training courses, this course does not give a person the right to work directly with asbestos, as is it designed as an awareness course only.
