Introduction to Plastering – Level 1 Award

Awarding Body: NOCN
Length of course: 5 weeks
Course dates: 13/06/08 – 11/07/08 (Fridays)
Cost: £190 (Deposit: £47.50)
Maximum number of students: 12
Previous experience required: None

Overview:
A straightforward course teaching the basic principles of plastering and repairing plasterwork. This course will teach you handling and care of tools used in plastering, techniques for plastering and preparing surfaces, and finishing plastering.

This course is ideal if you are curious about whether plastering is the right choice for you, or if you want to learn the basics of plastering for use in your own home, or to expand your skills knowledge to make yourself more employable.

Course Dates: 16/02/09 – 21/04/09 (Mon & Tues)
Cost: £580 (Deposit: £145) - Payment plan available
Maximum number of students: 9
Previous experience required: Experience of plastering or other similar construction trade is required; knowledge of handling and maintaining tools is essential.

Overview:
This course is designed to expand your knowledge of plastering techniques and abilities. Including cornice plastering, architraving, skirting, and rendering. This course is ideal for someone keen on a career as a plasterer. By the end of the course you will be expected to be able to plaster or render a wall to a professional standard fit for a residential or commercial property.
